New Tutus for Props!

I am so excited about the new props that I got in the mail last night!! I have been wanting to get a tutu to use in little girl sessions so badly. These will be great for first birthdays, and even older girls doing some dress up pictures. I got two different ones - a pastel one and a bright one. They are even cuter in person than you see here! Both tutus will fit little girls ages 6 months to 3 years. I even got the hot pink and green one lengthened a little bit for the older age group. I can't wait to use them...I'm sure I will get Becca to be a model for me soon!

My New Home Office

Well, my office is revealed!! One thing that I have wanted so much was to fix up an office in my home where I could meet with clients for consultations. Until now I have been meeting clients at Starbucks mostly...and as much as I am going to miss my bi-weekly Caramel Frappacino's, it is going to be so much easier being able to open my home and have clients come by whenever they want!

I have it all decked out and I have a TV on the wall for you to view your proofs. No more looking at them on my itty bitty computer screen! I have a pair of chairs, pictures all over the walls, and even some candy for munching on why you watch the slide show!

I have had it fixed up since right before Christmas but I'm just getting around to getting it revealed. Only a handful of clients have seen it so far...so I thought that I would post a few pictures to show everyone:

Kelley's 80th Birthday Party

I have started making myself available to do parties/showers within my business. I have done a few so far and they have been so much fun! This is something that I would totally want when I throw parties! I throw parties all the time and I love it! But it is so hard running around, mingling, making sure all the food is prepared...when do you have time to take pictures!?? What I do as my business, is come to your party or event and pretty much capture all the important parts! I follow the "man, woman, or child of the hour" around (un-noticed I might add!) and photograph this visiting and laughing with family and friends. I take many candids but also some posed shots.

This party that I did last weekend was actually for my grandfather. He just turned 80 and my aunts and mom are throwing him a big party with all of his long-time friends and family. He was so excited! Needless to say, I had a great time b/c I knew and loved almost everyone there! My Pappaw means the world to me and he loves to have pictures from everything, so it meant a lot to me to be able to be the one to do this for him! Now I just have to send them all off to my development company for him! Here are a few from this party:

Musicians - Kenny & Patience

A few weeks ago I did a session for a couple Memphis Musicians. Kenny Clark is a jazz singer that I have met in the past 6 months. He travels to sing and does many jobs at casinos/cruises. He is very, very good and sings a lot of songs by Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. He has recently become the manager of a young girl named Patience. One of my favorite songs that she sang the day I was photographing her was "Fever"...you should have seen her get into that! Patience writes a lot of her own music and Kenny is entering her into a contest for the Oprah show! They needed to get some photos to send with her demo and I was glad to do it! I just hope that she makes it! This session was mostly for Patience, but I shot a few of Kenny while we were there. Here are a few pictures from our fun day downtown and at Sun Studios:
